I remember, on MTV Diary...when I watched that show, I fell instantly in love with her (in a non-attraction way of course lol)...she was just so cool! I kept thinking...wow! I really wish I could meet her! SHe is so amazing. And then a few weeks later....I can't even say it. I just don't know why she had to go. I know this is selfish to say so but why did it have to be her? Why not someone else? I know it was her time to go....but...I just wish things could have been different I guess. Aaliyah, I love you and I miss you. I will ALWAYS rep you...forever...and I will miss you to the end of time. My hear aches for you, but my soul smiles - for it knows you are at peace. I really became a liyah fan when i saw "are you that somebody", that totally got my attention, i luv the song and the vid, and liyah was so pretty lol...I would watch the video all the time!

This may be three days late but my feelings are just the same:

Wow I remember the pretty young girl that came on the scence at 14, saw her on Video Soul with her Mickey Mouse attire on along side R. Kelly, then saw her in her classic Back and Forth signature video, then sometime later I saw her blossom into a One in a Million Act and complete by showing us she was More than a Woman. Our Beautiful Model, Actor, Singer and Friend. What a precious being to know. I have been listening to her precious angelic soft baby like voice all day, but don't get me wrong now she could flip that range and tone in a second, she was something else that Aaliyah and I will always love her FOREVERMORE!
