I always promised myself I wouldn't wind up here/In this cliche world of hopes and fears/Where the butterflies in your stomach give way to hawks/Everytime you see his face/Each and every time he talks/All the stupid ish he does is just so damn cute/Taking you from 0 to sixty/And leaves you hangin' to boot/All of a sudden/Wow, you can't speak/Everytime you're in his radius you get so weak/When he looks at you... *sigh*/Can't help but smile/Snap out of it, gurl, you are SUCH a child/Where the hell do you get off... putting yourself in this position/As if you didn't already have such a weak disposition/Open your eyes, hon. This ain't the place or the time/This situation has no reason; pay to mind to the rhyme/You know what's gonna happen/Nothing... exactly not a thing/And if it does you know it would be only just a fling/It'll be good while it lasted, but you'll wish it never had/Because he's bound to tell your secrets/In the long run; make you mad/He's already taken your mind... don't let him have your heart/Don't even think about your body/Oh, please, don't start/Don't try to convince me... I don't need your negativity/In every situation... that's all you've ever given me!/Be happy for me... uh... I mean, you, can you see/That even if it's only THIS he winds up giving me/That it's okay/I'll be fine... I need to make this decision/This is my time/

This is the first thing I've written in a long time that's comepletely personal. This is exactly what I'm going through at the moment, so it's that much harder to share... lol...

Amanda, that is really touching!  I got a little teary-eyed reading it, thinking "that's my girl...I'm so proud of her and I love her!"  Aren't I cheesy? lol You have such a gift, you REALLY ought to think about publishing or something...heck, I got a poetry book published in 1st grade, and it was about ducks, popcorn clouds, and more. If I can get a crappy book published, your poetry NEEDS to be published! lol |

I have: -my school and all my school work -my job -my new internship -a church retreat I'm working with meetings every week until the retreat, which is a whole weekend long -all my family stuff -and so much more! lol |
