It's so hard to say goodbye/But living it is the true test/Standing here alone... in the middle of a huge mess/It's not your fault, and it's not mine/But it isn't any easier to except the tears in your eyes/No one ever told me that it would be like this/It was never explained that I'd be lost in the abyss... of my sadness and sorrow/Just frozen in time... watching you walk away with no doubt in my mind/That it was over and there was nothing you or I could have done/To make things different... return two to one/In a way, I wish you'd hurt me... so that I could walk away/Knowing that these sobs and questions aren't worth the light of day/But that's the trouble you see... there are no hard feelings/Just apologies and worrys... "whatever will be, will be."/So I'm sorry that we're locked into this confusion and doubt/Just praying that someone will let us out/
